Sharon Bellamy added to Social Connections 10 Agenda!

Rockteam Systems Engineer and IBM Champion Sharon Bellamy has just been added to the agenda for Social Connections 10.  The conference is taking place on June 6 and 7 in Toronto.  Sharon’s session, Connections Upgrades and Migrations the Easy Way, is scheduled for 9:40 am – 10:10 am on Tuesday June 7.  If you have not already registered for this event, I urge you to take a look at the speaker list and agenda.  It is sure to be another top notch event.

If you would like to attend, here is the Registration Page

Here is a summary of the session Sharon will be presenting:

Migrating or upgrading an IBM Connections instance can be daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. Sharon has had 6 years of successful upgrades and migrations and can assist in the mind-field of information required (and also lessons learnt from some not so successful ones). From what you need to download and configure to which data and assets you must move. We will cover the pros and cons of side-by-side and in-place migrations and what to do if something should go wrong. From an iSeries Connections upgrade through to a side-by-side Oracle DB migration we should have every scenario and information to take the stress out of YOUR Connections upgrade.

Sharon has been working in the IT Industry since 1996 starting out as a PC and Printer engineer. Since 2003 she has been dabbling in all things WebSphere including Application Server, Portal and Commerce, amongst many other IBM/Lotus software offerings. Working on all things collaborative and IBM/Lotus software based, but specializing in IBM Connections and related IBM collaboration solutions software. Sharon has spoken at many user groups and Lotusphere/Connect and is a 5 year IBM Champion. In her spare time Sharon is a trustee for iCosplay “an anti-bullying campaign”, chairperson of a Costuming club and is on the organising commitee for ICONUK & Invictacon and is a tiny bit of a Disney, Star wars and Scifi fan.
